Pet Companion — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Pet Companion (“the App”, “we”) collects, how we use it, and what choices you have.
- Account: email address and password (password is stored only as a one-way hash by our authentication provider).
- Profile: nickname, profile picture (avatar), optional contact information, optional public email, automatically generated public handle (e.g.
pet_abc12345).
- Pet information: pet name, species/breed, photo, status (idle / eating / sleeping etc.).
- Health records you choose to enter: symptom questionnaires, medical visit notes (clinic, diagnosis, treatment, medications, notes), vaccination records (date, dose number, next-due date), weight records.
- Companion activity logs: when you start/stop a walk, bath, or playtime session — including duration in seconds.
- Memory content: diaries, photos, videos, and voice recordings (“memory echos”) you upload.
- Community content: posts, comments, and chat messages you send to other users.
- Social actions: friend requests, friendships, users you block, content you report.
- Reports you submit: reason category and any optional details when you flag user-generated content.
- Visit history: when another logged-in user views your public profile, we record their user ID and timestamp so the “recent visitors” feature works.
- Read state: whether each chat message has been read.
- Device permission state: whether you granted Notifications and Photo Library permission (the actual photos remain on your device unless you choose to upload one).
- Scheduled local notifications: vaccination reminders are stored on your device via iOS’s local notification system. They never leave your device.
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV)
- No analytics SDK (no Firebase Analytics, no AppsFlyer, no Adjust, etc.)
- No ad networks
- No tracking across other apps or websites
We use the information above only to:
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in
- Display your profile, pets, health records, and memories to you
- Deliver messages, friend requests, and notifications between you and other users you have explicitly connected with
- Generate a 2D pixel-art avatar for your pet (see Section 4 — third-party AI processing)
- Send local reminders for vaccinations you scheduled
- Moderate content reported by users (review and act on community reports)
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., responding to lawful requests)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
- Other users can see: your nickname, avatar, public handle, your public posts and comments, and any chat messages you send them directly.
- Other users cannot see: your email, password, contact information you’ve kept private, your health records, your pet’s medical or vaccination history, your memory diaries, or your reports.
- Your “optional email” field is only visible to other users if you choose to fill it in. Leaving it blank keeps it private.
4. Third-party services we use
Pet Companion relies on a small number of trusted service providers:

We do not share your data with any other third party. We do not transfer your data to advertisers or data brokers.
5. Data storage and security
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS).
- Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash by Supabase Auth.
- Photos and other media are stored in Supabase Storage with per-user access controls (Row-Level Security).
- Your authentication session is stored on your device using iOS Secure Storage (Keychain-backed).
- We do not have your password and cannot recover it; you can reset it via the “Forgot password” flow.
6. Data retention and deletion
- We retain your data for as long as your account exists.
- You can delete your account at any time from inside the App: Me → Delete Account. This will permanently remove:
- Your authentication account
- Your profile and all the data described in Section 1.1
- All photos, videos, audio, and media you uploaded
- All comments and posts you authored
- All chat messages you sent or received
- All friendships, block records, and visit history
- Content reports you submitted about other users are retained for moderation purposes.
- Account deletion is irreversible.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws (such as GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, or China’s PIPL). These can include:
- The right to access the data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to delete your data
- The right to data portability
- The right to object to processing
You can exercise the access, correction, and deletion rights directly inside the App. For any other request, contact us at bei.chen725@gmail.com.
8. Children’s privacy
Pet Companion is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International data transfers
Our backend (Supabase) is hosted in South Korea. The Seedream image-generation API is operated from China. If you use Pet Companion from outside these regions, your data will be transferred to and processed in these countries. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we will update the “Effective date” at the top and, where appropriate, notify you inside the App. Your continued use of Pet Companion after a change means you accept the updated policy.

1. 我们收集的信息
1.1 您主动提供的信息
- 账号：邮箱与密码（密码仅以单向哈希形式由我们的认证服务存储）。
- 个人资料：昵称、头像、可选联系方式、可选公开邮箱、自动生成的公开搜索 ID（如
pet_abc12345）。
- 宠物信息：宠物名称、品种、照片、当前状态（待机 / 进食 / 睡眠等）。
- 您自行录入的健康记录：症状问卷、就医记录（医院、诊断、治疗方案、用药、备注）、疫苗记录（接种日期、剂次、下次到期日）、体重记录。
- 陪伴活动日志：散步 / 洗澡 / 陪玩的开始 / 结束时间及时长（秒）。
- 回忆内容：您上传的日记、照片、视频和语音（”回忆回响”）。
- 社区内容：您发送的帖子、评论、聊天消息。
- 社交行为：好友请求、好友关系、屏蔽的用户、举报的内容。
- 您提交的举报：举报原因和可选的补充说明。
1.2 自动收集的信息
- 访问记录：当其他登录用户查看您的公开资料时，我们记录其用户 ID 和时间戳，用于”最近访客”功能。
- 已读状态：每条聊天消息是否已读。
- 设备权限状态：您是否授予了通知和相册权限（除非您主动上传，否则照片本身始终留在您的设备上）。
- 本地通知：疫苗提醒通过 iOS 系统本地通知机制存储在您的设备上，不会离开设备。
1.3 我们不收集的信息
- 位置信息
- 广告标识符（IDFA/IDFV）
- 第三方分析 SDK（无 Firebase Analytics、AppsFlyer、Adjust 等）
- 广告网络
- 跨应用或跨网站的追踪
2. 我们如何使用您的信息
我们仅将上述信息用于：
- 用户认证与登录会话维持
- 在应用内展示您的资料、宠物、健康记录与回忆
- 在您主动连接的好友之间传递消息、好友请求与通知
- 为您的宠物生成 2D 像素头像（详见第 4 节 — 第三方 AI 处理）
- 发送您自己安排的本地疫苗提醒
- 处理用户举报（审核并对被举报内容采取行动）
- 遵守法律义务（例如响应合法的法律请求）
我们不出售您的个人信息，也不将其用于广告。
3. 信息如何与其他用户共享
- 其他用户可以看到：您的昵称、头像、公开搜索 ID、您的公开帖子和评论，以及您直接发送给他们的聊天消息。
- 其他用户无法看到：您的邮箱、密码、您选择不公开的联系方式、您的健康记录、宠物的医疗或疫苗记录、回忆日记、您提交的举报。
- “可选邮箱”字段只有您主动填写后，其他用户才能看到。留空则保持私密。
4. 我们使用的第三方服务
宠物伴侣依赖少量受信任的服务提供商：

我们不会与任何其他第三方共享您的数据，也不会将您的数据传输给广告商或数据经纪人。
5. 数据存储与安全
- 数据传输采用 TLS 加密。
- 密码仅以单向哈希形式存储于 Supabase Auth。
- 照片等媒体存储于 Supabase Storage，并通过行级安全策略（RLS）进行按用户的访问控制。
- 您的登录会话使用 iOS Secure Storage（基于 Keychain）保存在您的设备上。
- 我们不知道您的密码，也无法找回。您可通过”忘记密码”流程重置。
6. 数据保留与删除
- 在账号存在期间，我们会保留您的数据。
- 您可以随时在 App 内删除账号：我的 → 删除账号。删除将永久移除：
- 您的认证账号
- 您的个人资料以及第 1.1 节描述的所有数据
- 您上传的所有照片、视频、音频和媒体
- 您撰写的所有帖子和评论
- 您发送或接收的所有聊天消息
- 所有好友关系、屏蔽记录、访问历史
- 您对其他用户提交的举报会保留以用于审核目的。
- 账号删除不可恢复。
7. 您的权利
根据您所在地区的隐私法律（如欧盟 GDPR、加州 CCPA、中国 PIPL），您可能享有以下权利：
- 访问我们持有的关于您的数据
- 更正不准确的数据
- 删除您的数据
- 数据可携带权
- 反对处理
访问、更正、删除权可以直接在 App 内行使。其他请求，请发送邮件至 bei.chen725@gmail.com。
8. 儿童隐私
宠物伴侣不面向 13 周岁以下儿童（或您所在地区规定的更高最低年龄）。我们不会有意收集 13 岁以下儿童的个人信息。如果您认为有儿童向我们提供了个人信息，请联系我们，我们会删除该信息。
9. 跨境数据传输
我们的后端（Supabase）位于韩国。Seedream 图像生成 API 由中国境内运营。如果您从其他地区使用宠物伴侣，您的数据会被传输到上述国家进行处理。继续使用本应用即视为您同意此项传输。
10. 政策变更
如果我们对本政策做出实质性更改，会更新顶部的”生效日期”，并在适当时在 App 内通知您。您在更改后继续使用宠物伴侣即视为接受更新后的政策。
